David Woodman, 22, dies after being injured after taken into custody by Boston police.

A Brookline resident, Woodman had been handcuffed and taken into custody on June 17, 2008 by police who were trying to curb unruly fans celebrating the Boston Celtics beat the Los Angeles Lakers for the NBA championship. He suffered from a pre-existing heart condition. Woodman’s family subsequently brings a wrongful death suit, which the city settles for $3 million on June 17, 2010.
